And so my journey with tinnitus formally began at 10pm Thursday March 2nd 2017. I was sat on the sofa watching TV when my right ear suddenly made a vacuum feeling and noise, followed by a high-pitched tone that didn’t stop! I sat there panicked, waiting for it to end, but it carried on all night. I didn’t sleep a wink and had to go into work, where I shared my experience, only to be met with sympathetic looks. By Friday evening, after hearing terrible stories and lots of googling, I spiraled into a complete negative frenzy of tinnitus despair.
